GO Kansas City
Royals and Chiefs Paraphernalia
Where it all started: this monoline illustration was created after the Kansas City Royals—my home team—won the 2015 World Series (after a loss in the previous World Series). I modified the design after the Kansas City Chiefs won their way to the Super Bowl in 2020 after 50 years, then again as just the Kansas City skyline. The skyline design has been printed and licensed out as shirt designs and sold as a variety of stickers and magnets.
The Kansas City Chiefs once again made it to the Super Bowl in 2021, motivating me to make handlettered and illustrated stickers and magnets that can be displayed on fridges, computers, windows, water bottles, etc. to show support for the team. The designs aren't Super Bowl specific so they can be displayed for years to come! The designs are printed by Sticker Mule with quality vinyl.
The Chiefs made it to the championship game in 2022 after a historic victory against Buffalo Bills; I created Grim Reaper designs to commemorate the occasion. After another Superbowl victory in 2023 and inspired by artist Micah Ulrich, I illustrated and lettered a tarot-eqsue playing card as a variation of the Grim Reaper, a caricature Patrick Mahomes continues to embody with his reputation. The Chiefs' mascot and imagery (wolf and arrowhead) is on the reverse.
The items above and more are available on my Etsy.
